Statement Sleeves

This season is all about the sleeve. Making a statement with big volume and layers create a bold, chic look for any occasion. The trick is to balance this exaggerated proportion by wearing fitted, simple bottoms whether it is pants, leggings or a skirt.
I paired this fantastic Shein Gingham blouse with my classic fitted bandage skirt and strappy sandals for a sunny day in Paris Vegas. This top is also great for holiday parties or a casual-chic day running errands.  I also love the unique slit neckline detail (tough to photograph, but is noticeable with movement).
The biggest thing for me when purchasing new pieces, is how comfortable I feel wearing them.  I was pleasantly surprised with the material being a brushed cotton, it is cozy and moves well. After looking at several exaggerated sleeves, I gravitated towards this silhouette due to the volume starting at a 3/4 length. When the entire sleeve has volume, it can look overwhelming/overdone on many body types.
Bold silhouette + black and white screams Parisian street style.
P.S - The top is now on sale in black or blue! Check it out here

  1. If you're looking for a venue for a small event in this area, you may want to stop by and check it out. Their staff is very friendly and the food is great. We preferred these venues in Los Angeles because they are all-inclusive, so you don't have to worry about chairs and catering because it's all part of the package.
