Cropped Tops & Camouflage

Even though stores are already bringing in Fall merchandise, it is finally time for us Canadians to start wearing our spring/summer clothes!
Crop tops have been in for many seasons. I love the fun, flirty cropped look for S/S. It is important to balance your outfit as they are exposing your midriff. Pairing a cropped top with a high waisted skirt that is knee length can create a sleek, classy look without showing too much skin. A maxi skirt or mid to high waisted pant also works well. Cropped tops are also great for layering - you can layer it over a maxi dress, or layer under a jacket as I did here. I loved this top in particular because the fabric is unique, and very comfortable! The long sleeves with the simple crew neckline work great with many of my existing pieces.

These Valentino sandals caught my eye with the black & gold contrast. I also love the lace detailing on the sole. The gold hardware on these sandals work great with several of my jewellery pieces and bags. I am not usually a fan of this style of sandal, however with the material choice and detailing, these can be worn with a more casual outfit, or a nice summer dress. The gold pyramid studs mixed with feminine bows create the perfect sandal for S/S.
