Black and White is everywhere for FW 14. I wanted to create a dramatic black and white look with a pop of colour. The pop of orange was inspired by the gorgeous orange leaves scattered around the city.  The geometric design on this sheath dress is fun with the angled lines of concrete and iron railings throughout the park. 

A great way to add pattern and/or colour to your wardrobe is with geometric prints. Geometrics create a timeless, contemporary look. Larger scale and small scale geometric patterns are available from several brands this season.  We are seeing a lot of black and white patterns again this f/w. This one caught my eye as it incorporates the shades of orange as well. 

This dress by Clover Canyon is great for all seasons. The fabric creates a stream lined look, while being fitted in all the right places. With the clean silhouette it can be worn layered or on its own, depending on the season. 
The Neoprene fabric is resilient, so it moves with you and then returns to it's original form instead of bagging out. 
This black silk shirt-jacket by Rag & Bone is an excellent layering piece. It works well with a variety of silhouettes and adds a lightweight warmth to any look. I like the juxtaposition between the fitted neoprene dress and the drape of the silk shirt-jacket. The bold pattern of the dress works best with a solid material paired with it. Together they create an elegant, yet bold statement.

After spending the past few years in the U.K., I have become a tea addict.  I drink approximately 2 cups of tea per day in the summer months, and 3-5 in the winter.
