As many of you know, I live between two countries; Canada and the United Kingdom. I travel back and forth to balance my business with my personal life. My boyfriend lives in the UK full-time and due to work and his MBA, he cannot leave Europe,  thus I travel there to spend time with him... and fufill my wanderlust ;).  Our entire relationship has been long distance, and I actually quite enjoy it. Many people over the past 4.5 years have questioned how its possible to be happy in this lifestyle, I believe with our circumstances, it has been a good balance. Luckily with my business I am able to work remotely from almost anywhere in the world that has internet connection, and I have the flexibly to leave Canada for months at a time.

 It is always exciting seeing each other for the first time after being apart for several weeks or even months. Travelling and exploring more of the world together has been an amazing experience for us as individuals and our relationship. That being said, there is also a downside to it; coming home to an empty home everyday, spending holidays/special events apart from one another is not ideal. It's all about finding that balance of what makes you happy in your own life, as an independent person, to be the best version of you in a relationship. 

 In over four years we have only spent one romantic holiday together. The other three years I have been with close friends celebrating our relationships together.
I personally believe that we should spoil our partner or close friends/family on a daily basis, rather than a holiday/special day, however Valentines Day is a great excuse to take it up a notch! If you are single or away from your partner, it is a perfect time to get pampered at a spa, or go for a hike/road trip and spend some quality time with yourself. 

 I will be enjoying the day in the mountains taking in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings with great people.

Taormina is definitely a highlight of my Sicily trip. My entire experience in this small Island town was serene. Beautiful weather and relaxing. The train runs along the East Coast into the quaint old station surrounded by lush trees and sea shore views. After spending the past few years in the U.K., I have become a tea addict.  I drink approximately 2 cups of tea per day in the summer months, and 3-5 in the winter.
