As festival season is almost here I notice myself subconsciously incorporating a lot more colour and prints into my wardrobe. With spring comes a transition of fabrics like crepes and cottons for more breathable, flowy vacation or boho vibe. One of my fave classic silhouettes for this season is the maxi skirt. There is something so chic and versatile about a floor length hemline. This silhouette is easy to dress up or down for an effortless look and is comfortable for those hot summer days where you need a little breeze or to keep misquotes from biting your legs :p. Pairing a basic tee or cropped top is perfect for a festival vibe, and on the flip side, it can easily be dressed up with a structured blazer for a more sophisticated office look. 
We are seeing a lot of pleated maxi's this year, which can be styled a variety of ways. Mixing styles is key when incorporating pleats into a look, as they tend to go preppy and can be a little busy. Pairing athleisure pieces like sneakers and sporty tops with pleats take it from preppy to cool. Remember to keep it simple with a more fitted silhouette on top and simple accessories. I like to add a little toughness into my looks, so adding black or leather and more structured pieces balances the femininity of the pleats. After spending the past few years in the U.K., I have become a tea addict.  I drink approximately 2 cups of tea per day in the summer months, and 3-5 in the winter.
