We had a blast shooting at Millennium Skate Park in Calgary, Canada. I particularly enjoyed the amazing art found around the park by local artists. It was great to see such talented Skaters and BMXers doing tricks and enjoying the beautiful day.

Warm summer days are coming to an end in Calgary. Luckily, you can wear leather all year round! This look is all about styling leather pants (a staple wardrobe piece) in a laid back, weekend casual way.

A positive to leather is that it will breathe, this means you can wear it in the summer and you will not get too hot and sweaty and in the winter it will help keep you warm. As leather is very durable, you will be able to keep the garment for many years.  Artificial leather which is often made of Polyurethane, Latex, PVC etc. on the other hand does not breathe. It may look nice, but can be uncomfortable to wear as the material is not as flexible. The manufacturing process of Faux Leather also consists of highly toxic chemicals that are harmful to the environment. As the material breaks down faster, you will find yourself disposing of them faster, which leads to more waste in our landfills. If you are deciding between real and faux leather, please keep in mind the environmental impact of purchasing faux leather.

These gorgeous leather pants are by one of my favourite Canadian Designers, Malika Couture. They are a classic style with and edgy twist. The quilted details on the Yoke and knees create an interesting tone on tone texture. I also love the zipper hardware at the hips and ankles. These pants are Made to Measure to ensure a perfect fit! More ways to style leather pants this fall - They look great with a silk blouse and jacket or fur vest for day, and a fun top with heels for night. Remember to mix different textures and  fabrics with your leather pieces. You can style them with a variety of shoe styles as well. I like to wear mine with sandals, sneakers, wedges and ankle boots.
Black leather pants (natural or faux) are easy to incorporate into your wardrobe, have fun creating leather looks this fall!
