European Inspired Design

Interior Photography: Mike Bailey Photography   I  Editing: Meagan Weatherby Photography  I  Design & Decor & Landscape Photography: HDA/ Style Concept  As a creative type, I find inspiration from my surroundings; art, nature, food, music, travel etc. This design was inspired by two breathtaking Villages we explored on a trip to southeastern France.  I fell in love with the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur Region. Each Village/City has a uniqueness and abundance of history. My fave place being a limestone village filled with warm whites and lush Mediterranean plants called Gordes. Another one of my favourite places in that region is the Ochre Village of Roussillon, France. Roussillon is also located on a ridge looking out to a beautiful valley. Surrounding Roussillon are hills and cliffs made of orange/red clay, therefore the entire village is made with these rich hues. From the

It has grown significantly in the past few years, while keeping the focus on the Western history of Calgary with the saddle shaped building. The Saddledome has been a landmark since it was built in 1983 for the 1988 Olympics. It is located on the Stampede grounds, where the annual ten days of chaos know as "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth" is  held. It is definitely noticeable coming from Europe and even the US. Calgary has always been known for being a Nature city; Panoramic Mountain views, Provincial Parks running through the city, Lake communities and an abundance of mature trees spread across the city.  With all the interesting architecture and sculptures that have been accumulating in the last couple years, Calgary is becoming a city of Nature and Art.
