I'm in love with Fall. Fall is a beautiful time of year, with changing leaves and stunning sunsets. There is a glow around the world that only happens for a short time as the weather changes. It is a transition from fun summer memories to holiday cheer. However, the best thing about fall is the layering of clothes, boots, and cold weather accessories that come with it.
Fur vests are my fav staple for F/W, they are timeless and versatile. Fur vests can be styled several ways, fur (real or faux) adds texture to any look. Layer waist length vests over a dress or high waisted skirt for a day to dinner look. A longer vest works well with pants or leggings or over/under a jacket for a more casual look. Real fur adds a lot of warmth, which is necessary in colder climates. As fur is a natural material, it will look great after several years even through rain and snow. Faux fur is more for the look, as it does not add much warmth. Once faux fur gets wet, it will not go back to how it originally looked. This chic Adrienne Landau vest is a perfect layering piece for F/W layering. I also love the convenient slit pockets and the hidden clasps that create a streamline look. Stylish gloves are the perfect way to finish off any look this F/W. A great pair of gloves add detail and warmth. These leather motorcycle gloves from BCBG are surprisingly warm and super chic. They work with different styles of clothing, while adding an edge. The soft leather and stitching look great after MANY years of wearing, including torrential rain storms and several travels. The matte leather gloves, textured pile of the vest and sheer top create a mix of texture.
Complete your F/W looks with a fur vest and leather gloves.
