HOW TO LOOK CHIC IN SWIMWEAR WITH GIRL MERRY

Swimwear can be just as chic as your day-to-day looks. It's all about adding the right pieces to your beach wardrobe so you look and feel fab even when you're half naked!
I've partnered with girlmerry.com to share some of my style tips for pool season. Their website offers trendy, affordable wholesale swimwear online. Click here to shop GirlMerry swimwear.
Scroll down to read my 5 tips for looking chic in swimwear this summer...

1] LAYER - Sheer or tassel skirts are the perfect pairing with a bikini or one piece this summer. Look for pieces that are sheer or transparent that work with a variety of bathing suits and summer tops. There are several mesh scales available to suit your style.
This will show off your silhouette in a soft, sexy way and is great for heading to a restaurant or bar without having to change.
Remember to avoid more opaque fabrics as they will create a harsh line, visually cutting you in half.
I love this white tassel skirt from Girl Merry. It also came in black [sorry, it sold out SO fast!] but I've tagged some other chic skirts here, here and here that are perfect layering pieces.

2] HIGH WAISTED - This is a huge trend this season, and it's a good thing because it's SO flattering on any size and shape! It is perfect for hiding c-section scars as well ;). I've linked this bikini here and also a few other faves here, here and here.

3] LBB - The little black bikini is a staple. I recommend having a few different black bathing suits [not just because I love black], but bc it's slimming and you can mix and match different coverups and accessories so easily! Whether it's a bikini or a one-piece, a suit with nice detailing and fit can make you look like a million bucks!  I've linked this one here.

4] TIE ME UP - look for bikini's with string ties so that you can switch up the styling by changing the way it is tied. Wrapping the string around your waist or crossing the ties across your d├ęcolletage gives you more versatility, especially on vacay. I've tied this bikini so many different ways... be creative!

5] ALL ABOUT SLEEVES - Long sleeves are a big trend right now, but if that's too modest for you, there are a lot of flouncy off-the-shoulder styles available. This bikini top is great for travel as I can wear it to the beach and also paired with a high waisted skirt/pant for sightseeing or dinner.

HAPPY BEACH SEASON!
