In between the extremes of white and black, are the neutral shades of grey. I put together this casual look mixing shades and textures of grey from head to toe.
Blanket scarves are huge for f/w as they are very versatile and add warmth. This reversible grey and black blanket scarf caught my eye while shopping in England. The thick, tightly woven wool is perfect for the cool, rainy fall weather in England, and soon to be Calgary winter. The Aztec pattern adds a boldness to any fall look.
Blanket scarves take up a lot of room when travelling, however, they also make a great airplane blanket :).
Mixing different types of knits creates interest through texture. This ribbed wool Sweater Jacket by Elie Tahari is warm and easy to wear. The straight silhouette is great for throwing over a fitted dress or top and pant. It also works well with a medium width belt for a more form fitting shape. The lined slit pockets are convenient for warming up hands and slipping your phone or keys in while running errands.
The ribbed knit sweater, garter stitch beanie, and woven blanket scarf create a perfect cold weather combo.

Our shooting location is one of my favourite spots in the centre of Hull, England. The beautiful Queen's Gardens are full of water fountains and ornamental gardens, creating a peaceful downtown space. It is a wonderful spot to unwind with a tea and delicious dessert in mid afternoon.
