I Finished off a wonderful two + months overseas taking in some gorgeous spring days in London, England. I fall more in love with this city each time I visit. The energy, great architecture, delicious restaurants and shopping all over the city makes for new adventures each time. Trafalgar Square is one of my favourite spots in the city. It is always filled with street entertainers, musicians and art, while being surrounded by amazing architecture.
The perfect outfit for exploring London in the spring includes: A hat to keep warm, comfortable yet stylish boots, tights, a dress/skirt/pants that can be worn for both adventure and dinner and of course a wind proof/water resistant jacket. Adding a fur/faux fur vest keeps the core warm and can be taken off if needed. This look covers all the above.
I am obsessed with this wool & leather hat I picked up in Edinburgh a few weeks prior. The brim is a nice width, providing warmth while preventing hair from flying around in the wind. I found the dress at the same time and didn't feel like trying it on, so I took a chance and it ended up fitting well and is very comfortable. It has a low open back which is also great for summer. The stunning black and silver rosary from Fatima, Portugal was gifted by my boyfriend. The style and scale of the rosary works well for a more causal/styled look.
One of the most important elements of any look (if not the most) is footwear. Each look should compliment the shoes, or shoes should compliment the look. It is important to wear comfortable shoes while walking long period or on old uneven surfaces, therefore these Alexander Wang boots have been around the world. They are one of my most comfortable and versatile pairs. This height of the boot can be worn with pants, dresses or skirts and they give every outfit an edge. Variations of this look can be worn in all seasons.
I am looking forward to more London adventures in the summer.
