The Caged Bralette

II shop the look
jacket: Bano eeMee
bralette: SheIn

As many of you know I enjoy architecture and design. Working in the industry and travelling to take in and photograph works of art it is a huge passion of mine. Whenever I see fabric or clothing designs that remind me of architecture can't resist buying it. I enjoy when designers think outside the box and create interesting pieces from something so basic.
I have been on the search for a bralette with edgy details around the décolletage for a long time, so when I came across this caged one from SheIn, I was elated.  The cool, contemporary style looks amazing layered under basics or worn on it's own as a workout top or bathing suit top (I wouldn't actually wear it in the water). It most likely would give you gnarly tan lines, however, I think it is perfect for a pool party or with a pair of yoga pants. The versatility of the piece is something that I also look for when shopping and I knew I would get a lot of wear out of this piece. Of course black goes with just about anything, but the fabric is comfortable and stretchy *note it doesn't have very much support, but similarly to a sports bra, it moves with your body which is super important. The design details makes it the show piece, therefore minimal jewelry is required to put together a look.
I have been playing around with incorporating this piece into casual and business looks, and it works with everything i've tried so far! Pair it with a pant suit for work or a slouchy, off the shoulder T for a casual off duty look. The caged detail looks sexy layered under semi sheer or top or jacket as I did here. This bralette is a great find at only $13 US! Check it out here for sizing & more details. You're welcome :D.
