Sicilian Sunshine + SheIn
details II Dress: SheIn I Shoes: Stuart Weitzman I Sunnies: Marc by Marc Jacobs I Bracelets: Pura Vida Bracelets I Location: Ambasciatori Hotel
I was initially drawn to the the dramatic sleeve. It adds excitement to what would otherwise be a very simple off the shoulder, body conscious silhouette. This piece has a very Chanel-esque vibe with the striking black and white combination = timeless. The white bias tape adds contrast and interest to this sexy little black dress. The style is so chic and very fitted, it definitely shows off the bod and is very flattering with it's off the shoulder neckline.
I initially packed this dress for David's convocation in England, where I wore it with a fabulous white lace choker. I kept it simple for our sunshine filled brunch on the hotel rooftop. This was the perfect dress to lounge around and enjoy copious amounts of Sicilian breakfast (including a Cannoli bar!?), as the fabric is super stretchy ;).
I am also looking forward to wearing it as a holiday party dress with a pair of fishnets and pumps.
On a side note - how amazing is this view?! The Ambasciatori Hotel is situated in the heart of historic Palermo, Italy. The rooftop is built up on multiple levels, to show off a 360 view of the city, sea and mountains. It was quite fantastic for mapping out where we were going to wander each day.
This view and this stunner of a dress made for an unforgettable day in paradise.
I will write more about Palermo and our trip to Sicily soon. In the meantime, check out my SheIn dress here. I would recommend going up one size for a more comfortable fit around the shoulders. Ciao!
